| Instructions: You will need three pieces of neutral cardstock for this project. One piece 2 x 3 1/2 for the front slider. One piece 3 1/2 x 5 for the back slider and one piece 3 x 3 1/2 for the main front image. | ||||
|
|
Stamp all of the neutral pieces of your card. You only need to stamp the top third of the front and insider slider pieces, because the rest will not be visible. You can layer your pieces or leave them plain.

Use the word window punch to punch out two slits from the front of the card body. To position these correctly slide the punch in as far as it will go from the right and line the side of the punch up with the score line. Punch and then slide the punch up half way and punch again. This will make the slot longer. Repeat from the left.

Use the 1/2 inch circle punch to punch out 4 circles from scratch cardstock. Place dimensionals on the center of two of the circles.

Place the two circles with dimensionals in the bottom of the slots, with the dimensionals facing up. Then attach the other punched circles to the dimensionals.

Open the card and lay the inside slider so it lines up with the top of the card. You want to have the image facing you. Place two glue dots on the punched circles and then close the card. This will adhere the circles to the inside/back slider.

Place two glue dots on the front of the punched circles and then attach the front slider to these. Make sure that you place the front slider where it can be hidden by the main image piece that goes on the front of the card.

Place the main image on the front of the card by placing one dimensional in
each corner. Make sure the dimensionals will not affect the movement of the
front slider. Place the piece so completely hides the front slider.
This is what the finished front of the card will look like. Test the sliding mechanism to make sure that both pieces move freely and the card "works" before moving on. |

Place two thin pieces of sticky strip along the sides of the inside/back slider. Make sure that the sticky strip is not touching the slider. Fold the card back up and press to seal the card shut and conceal the slider.
